Brianna Oliver

Doula and Childbirth Educator

Teaching has always been part of my story. As a kid, I’d line up my Cabbage Patch babies and reenact science lessons I learned in school that day.  Dissecting animals in biology class and diving into chemistry experiments were always highlights of my day. When it came time to choose a college path, I found myself torn between education and nursing. Ultimately, I chose education, because there’s nothing quite like seeing  a student grasp a new concept and gain confidence!

When I became a mom, I thought I was fully prepared for childbirth after taking an unmedicated childbirth course at our local hospital. Unfortunately, that experience didn’t prepare me at all! That birth led to trauma and postpartum depression, so I dove deep into research to help rewrite the story for any future births I had.

Along the way, I supported several mothers in their births, stepping into their hospital rooms as a source of support and guidance.

Two years later, pregnant with my second baby boy, I sought out a different kind of birth experience. I decided to have a home birth, and it was nothing short of redemptive and peaceful. That experience solidified my passion for birth work, and in 2022, I became a certified doula.

Since then, I’ve had the honor of supporting families in their births, and I’ve truly discovered my love for empowering moms.

When I became pregnant with my last baby, I decided to take a break from in-person doula support, but I couldn't stay away from answering all the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum questions I was getting. That's how I earned the nickname “The Birth BFF.”

Now, I’m here to combine my passion for teaching with my love for supporting moms. I offer childbirth education courses and virtual doula support, and I’m so excited to walk alongside you on your birthing journey and cheer you on every step of the way.

My Philosophy

I truly believe you know your body better than anyone else. Your body was made for this! There will definitely be moments where medical interventions are necessary and so appreciated, but for most low-risk pregnancies, learning to trust your body and breathe through each surge can work wonders.

When it comes to teaching, I keep it fun and hands-on. I love interactive classes with guided practices, handouts to fill in the blanks, and eBooks you can use during labor. My goal is to give you the tools to feel confident, no matter how your birth goes.

As a doula, my job is to provide nonjudgmental, supportive care. I’m all about whatever birth you choose. Whether you want an unmedicated birth, decide to get an epidural, or need a c-section, I’m there for you with the same energy and dedication to help you feel in control.

I’m here to offer education, emotional support, and encouragement every step of the way. I believe in empowering you to trust your body and make decisions that feel right for you. My goal is to help you approach your birth with confidence, breaking through any fear and setting you up for a positive experience—no matter how it unfolds.
